I have a certain red dress in mind, but have yet to find it in a store. I could make my own but then I'd have buy a sewing machine, find a place to put it, and abandon my writing for a time. Guess the red dress will have to Eileen Goudgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01156415980783091338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30210943.post-10821856734486039332015-08-13T12:42:00.906-04:002015-08-13T12:42:00.906-04:00My mom made clothes for us as well. Yes, my mother made clothes for me and I used to do it too, though using patterns,at first with either treadle or handle machine and later with an electric one but that ran away with me too. I even made little coats for my kids - couldn't do it now!Aline Templetonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01199803927350776150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30210943.post-49820937198492912672015-08-13T04:08:17.606-04:002015-08-13T04:08:17.606-04:00Love your post! My mom didn't buy an electric sewing machine till I was in my teens. Controlling the electric was much harder - it had a tendency to run away - I had exact control over my sewing on Grandma's old machine.G.WriterCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13797103297058880301noreply@blogger.com
