I hate deadlines. Mention the word and my brain goes into lockdown.
I got back from holiday to find my page proofs waiting reproachfully. Having slogged through them, I suddenly realised that I'd got confused about my post and had thought it was next week. Usually, I think over what to write but now I have a deadline and yup! brain lockdown.
So I thought I'd share this with you by way of apology.
It made me laugh, anyway.

Fellow sufferer here. As a freelancer I have half a dozen or more deadlines every month. I manage to make about half of them. :-(
Anna, I salute you! I so admire journalists who can constantly think up something original to say on demand. Good luck!
Aline, sorry if I was misleading. Those are editorial deadlines, not journalism deadlines. I too would not be able to think up new ideas at that rate!
